If shoes were produced in only one size, some folks would be happy I am sure, but most would be grumpy and agitated most of the day. So it is with Rocking Chairs, You may be like Evan Eschmeyer (seven feet with his shoes on), never having sat in a chair that fit him perfectly until I made one for him! For your body to be supported in a manner that maintains your comfort and well being, the size of the chair is important! I have dedicated myself to the art of creating a perfectly fitting rocking chair since 1991 and I am still tweaking the magic formula from time to time.
As you can see from these photos of me and Bill Burns, we do not all fit well in the same sized rocking chair! The middle photo shows Bill sitting in his new rocking chair and you can see that it fits him perfectly; his legs are supported with his knees at a comfortable angle he is leaning back far enough to be comfortable but not so far back it is a strain on his neck. The photo on the right shows Bill sitting in my chair. If you look closely you will see that, because of his long legs the chair tilts back way too far, his legs are not fully supported and how he has to tilt his head forward thus placing a strain on his neck.
Many variables must be adjusted in order to accommodate a person's body properly. When you purchase a beautiful rocking chair you should seek someone who understands all of these variables - I do!

Some wood species may cost a little more because I have to pay more for them but the increased price will rarely be over $1,000.
To order a chair requires a deposit of 1,000, with the balance due prior to shipping.
Shipping within the US runs from $250 to $450 while shipping overseas runs from $500 to $900.
